These terms cover the use of this website. The products you buy through our storefront are covered by the provider's own terms, which you accept at checkout. That distinction matters, so it is the first thing explained below.

Who these terms are between
This website, aldomedia.net, is published by AldoMedia, LLC, 656 North French, Ste 2, Buffalo, NY 14228, telephone 716-771-2536. We have been trading since 1999. In the text below, "we" and "us" mean AldoMedia, LLC, and "you" means anyone using the site.
By using the site you are agreeing to the terms on this page. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
The site and what you buy are two different things
This is the most important point on the page, so it comes first.
aldomedia.net is an information site. It explains domains, hosting, email and security, and it points you at our storefront when you want to buy something. Purchases are not completed here. When you click through to checkout.aldomedia.net you are entering a separate purchase process, with its own account, its own basket and its own terms, and you accept those terms as part of buying.
So there are two sets of rules in play, and they do different jobs:

Read the terms presented to you at checkout before you complete an order. They are the ones that govern the product itself, and they are written by the provider that actually runs it.
We are an independent reseller
AldoMedia, LLC is an independent provider and an authorised reseller. We do not operate the domain registry, we are not a certificate authority, and we do not run the platform the products are hosted on. Those things are supplied through our upstream partners and are subject to their terms, their pricing and their product availability.
What we do is choose the products, set them up, and be the person you can call when something is wrong. Where a problem sits with an upstream provider, we take it up with them on your behalf, but we cannot promise an outcome that is theirs to decide.
Using this site
You are welcome to read the site, search for a domain, quote us with a link, and send us a message. We ask that you do not do any of the following:
- Try to gain access to any part of the site, server or account that is not published for public use.
- Interfere with the site, or attempt to disrupt or overload it.
- Send automated, repeated or deceptive submissions through the contact form, or use it to send advertising.
- Automate the domain search box or scrape the site at a rate that affects it for other people.
- Copy our pages wholesale and republish them as your own.
- Use the site to do anything unlawful, or to help someone else do so.
We may block access from an address that is doing any of the above. The site already limits how often the contact form can be submitted from one address, which is there to stop automated abuse rather than to inconvenience anyone.
The information here is general, not advice
The guides and product pages on this site are written to explain how domains, hosting and email work in plain terms. They are general information. They are not legal, financial, tax or professional advice, and they are not a substitute for advice about your particular situation. If a decision has consequences for your business, take advice on it.
If something on the site is important to a decision you are making, call us and ask. We would rather answer a question than have you act on a general explanation that does not fit your case.
Accuracy and availability
We keep the site up to date and correct as best we can, but products, features and prices change, sometimes at short notice and not always with warning to us. We do not warrant that everything on the site is complete, current or free of errors, and we do not warrant that the site will always be available or uninterrupted. Where something on the site conflicts with what the storefront or the provider says at the time you buy, the storefront and the provider are correct.
This site is offered as it is. We are not stating a level of availability for it, because a marketing site is not a service you have bought. Anything you have bought is covered by its own terms.
Our content
The text, page layouts, images and code on this site are ours, apart from the trademarks and product names of other companies, which belong to those companies. You may link to any page here, and you may quote a short passage with a credit and a link. Copying whole pages, or reproducing the site's content for a competing commercial purpose, is not permitted without our written agreement.
The AldoMedia name and logo are ours. Please do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse or are connected with something we are not.
Links to other sites
Some links here go to sites we do not run, including our storefront at checkout.aldomedia.net, our web design site at aldomedia.com, and our profiles on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X. We link to them because they are useful, not because we control what is on them. Once you follow a link you are on that company's site, under their terms and their privacy practices.
There are no embedded videos, feeds or widgets on this site, so those other companies cannot set anything in your browser from these pages. That only starts once you click through.
Pricing
Prices are not published on this site. The price that applies is the one shown at the storefront at the moment you complete your order, including any taxes or fees shown there.
Two things are worth checking before you buy anything, from us or from anyone else:
- Introductory pricing is not renewal pricing. A first-term price and the price the product renews at are usually different, and the difference can be large. Check the renewal price at checkout before you complete the order, not just the first-term price.
- Availability and terms can change. Products and their pricing come from our upstream partners, and they can change them.
Refunds and cancellations follow the policy that applies to the product you bought, which is presented to you at checkout and set by the provider.
Messages and personal information
If you send us a message through the contact form, the details you type are emailed to us so we can reply. The site itself does not run advertising or analytics tracking, and it sets one cookie, on the contact page only, which exists to keep the form secure and disappears when you close your browser. What we do with the information you send is set out in our privacy and cookie policies, listed with our other legal pages.
Governing law and disputes
AldoMedia, LLC is based in Buffalo, New York, and that is where the company sits. We are not stating a governing law clause, a venue for disputes or a dispute procedure on this page, because those have not been settled with our lawyer yet and we would rather say nothing than say something we have not checked. Nothing on this page takes away a right you have under the law that applies to you.
If you have a problem with something we have done, the fastest route is still to tell us. Most things are a misunderstanding that a phone call fixes.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page as the business changes, as the upstream terms change, and as our lawyer reviews it. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of the page changes with it. The version published here is the one that applies from the date it shows. Please look at it again from time to time if the terms matter to you.
Changes to this page do not change the terms of anything you have already bought. Those follow the provider's own terms and whatever notice those terms require.
