Accessibility Statement

This site should work for everyone who lands on it, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard on its own, magnification, voice control or a small phone. Here is what we test, what we found, and what to do if something still gets in your way.

Draft pending review. This statement was written from the site's actual behaviour and from the test results described below. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and no external auditor has checked our findings. Treat it as a working document until AldoMedia has reviewed it.

What this statement covers

It covers this website, aldomedia.net, and every page published on it. It was prepared by AldoMedia on the basis of our own testing, described below.

It does not cover other sites we link to. That includes the storefront at checkout.aldomedia.net where orders are placed, our web design site at aldomedia.com, and our profiles on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X. Those are run on platforms we do not control.

The standard we aim for

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, Level AA. WCAG is the international guideline published by the World Wide Web Consortium, and Level AA is the level most commonly asked for. In plain terms it covers things like readable contrast, working entirely without a mouse, text that resizes without breaking the layout, and pages that make sense when read out loud.

We describe this as our target and as the result of our own testing. We are not claiming a formal conformance rating awarded by anyone else.

How the site was tested

Automated testing

Every page was checked with axe-core 4.12.1 against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 Level A and AA rule sets, plus the best-practice rules. Each page was tested at four widths, 375px, 768px, 1280px and 1440px, so the phone layout, the tablet layout and the desktop layout were covered. On 6 August 2026 that run returned zero violations.

Colour contrast worked out by hand

Automated tools cannot sample text that sits on a gradient, because the background colour changes underneath the letters. We calculated those ratios by hand instead. The lowest of those hand-calculated ratios is 4.7 to 1, against a requirement of 4.5 to 1 for normal text.

Code validation

Valid code is not the same thing as an accessible page, but broken code is a common cause of assistive technology behaving oddly. The HTML validates with zero errors and zero warnings. The CSS validates with zero errors.

What is built into every page

Structure and navigation

  • One h1 per page and no skipped heading levels, so the page can be navigated by headings.
  • A skip-to-content link as the first thing you reach with the keyboard.
  • Semantic landmarks for the header, the main navigation, the main content and the footer.
  • Visible focus outlines, so you can always see where you are when tabbing through a page.
  • Scrollable tables that can be reached and scrolled with the keyboard, not only by dragging.

Reading and interaction

  • Alt text on every image.
  • No information carried by colour alone.
  • Form labels tied to their fields, so tapping a label focuses the right box.
  • Error messages that name the problem and link to the field they belong to.
  • Tap targets of at least 44px, which matters most on a phone.
  • No horizontal scrolling all the way down to a 320px wide screen.
  • Animation that respects the reduce-motion setting in your operating system.

The site works with JavaScript turned off

Some people browse with scripts disabled, and some assistive setups or corporate networks disable them for you. With JavaScript off, the navigation still opens, every link still works, the contact form still submits, and the domain search box still takes you to a search. Nothing on this site is behind a script.

Known limitations

Two honest gaps, both worth stating plainly.

  • We have not tested every assistive technology. Our testing combined automated rule checking with manual keyboard and layout checks. We have not tested every combination of screen reader, browser and operating system, so we cannot promise that a specific reader behaves perfectly on a specific page. If yours does not, please tell us, because that is exactly the report we need.
  • The storefront is a third-party platform. When you click through to checkout.aldomedia.net to place an order or sign in, you leave this site and land on a platform supplied by our upstream partner. AldoMedia is an independent provider and authorised reseller; we do not build or control that platform, so its accessibility is not covered by this statement. If you hit a barrier there, contact us anyway and we will help you complete what you were trying to do.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site stops you doing something, we want to hear about it. You can reach us in either of these ways:

It helps if you can tell us the address of the page, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. If you know the browser, device or assistive technology you were using, include that too, but do not worry if you do not.

We will look into it, and in the meantime we will work with you to give you the information or complete the task another way, including over the phone.

Keeping this statement current

Our practice is to re-run the automated checks and the manual checks before we publish new or changed pages, and to update the date at the top of this page when the results change. If you find something that contradicts what is written here, the report above is the fastest way to get it fixed.
