One place for the whole stack
Domain, hosting, email and certificate in one account instead of four vendors, four logins and four renewal dates nobody is tracking. When something breaks, one person can see all of it at once.
We have been building and maintaining websites for Western New York businesses since 1999. Domains and hosting are here because we were already looking after them for our own clients.
AldoMedia, LLC is a web company at 656 North French, Ste 2, Buffalo, NY 14228. The phone number is 716-771-2536. We have been designing and maintaining websites for businesses in Western New York since 1999.
The company runs two sites. aldomedia.com is the design side, where sites get built and looked after. This site, aldomedia.net, is where the infrastructure underneath those sites is available on its own: domain names, web hosting, business email, SSL certificates and website security.
That is the whole company. There are no awards listed here and no testimonials quoted at you, because the useful things to know about a supplier are what they do, where they stop, and whether they will tell you the difference.
Every site we ever built needed four things that are not the site: a domain name, somewhere for the files to live, email on that domain, and a certificate. So for years we handled all of it as part of the job. Registering names. Moving them off registrars that were painful to deal with. Pointing DNS at the right server on a Friday afternoon. Getting mail flowing again after somebody else's migration went sideways.
Offering those services on their own was the obvious next step, and it shapes how this side of the business works. We did not start as a hosting company and add support afterwards as a cost line. We started as the people who had to fix it when the hosting was wrong.
If you have ever called a host about a broken site and been told it is a domain problem, then called the registrar and been told it is a hosting problem, that afternoon is the reason this exists. If you are not certain which of the two you even have, start with domain name vs web hosting.
Domain, hosting, email and certificate in one account instead of four vendors, four logins and four renewal dates nobody is tracking. When something breaks, one person can see all of it at once.
Most small businesses are sold add-ons that solve a problem they do not have. If a bigger plan will not make your site faster, we will say so. If you do not need the extra domain extensions, we will say that too. It costs us a sale and it keeps the customer.
DNS records, email migration and pointing a domain at a site somebody else built are where people get stuck, and where a small mistake takes mail offline for a day. We would rather do those parts with you than leave them in a knowledge base article.
Buffalo office, one phone number, and a contact form that reaches the team directly rather than a queue. You will not be asked for a case number by somebody who has never seen your site.
AldoMedia is an independent authorised reseller. We do not operate the domain registry, we are not the certificate authority, and we do not own the platform your hosting runs on. Those are large operations with full-time engineering teams, and we would rather resell one that works than pretend we built it in Buffalo.
Stated plainly, that is the advantage. The infrastructure is run by an organisation whose only job is running infrastructure. The account, the setup and the first phone call are handled by people who build websites for a living and can tell a DNS problem from a hosting problem in about a minute.
| Part of the service | Who operates it | Who you talk to |
|---|---|---|
| Domain registry and registrar systems | The registry and the upstream registrar | AldoMedia first |
| Hosting servers and the network they sit on | The upstream platform operator | AldoMedia first |
| Issuing and validating SSL certificates | The certificate authority | AldoMedia first |
| Account setup, DNS records, migrations | AldoMedia | AldoMedia |
| Product terms, pricing and availability | The upstream provider | AldoMedia, and the terms are published at checkout and in our legal pages |
Anything you buy is subject to the upstream provider's terms as well as ours, which you accept at checkout. The terms of service and the refund policy spell out where one ends and the other begins.
This is built around one kind of customer: a small business that wants the technical side handled by somebody reachable, and does not want to become an expert in it.
Worth saying plainly, because finding this out after you have moved everything is expensive for both of us.
A domain somewhere, a site somebody built, an email address you are not sure who controls. Half the value of the first conversation is simply working out what exists and whose name it is in.
Sometimes the answer is that your current setup is fine and you should change nothing. That answer is free and we give it regularly.
In the business's own name, at an address the business controls, with privacy and registrar lock on. This is the step that prevents the expensive problems later.
Sized for what the site actually does rather than for the biggest number on the plan comparison. Any of it can be added later if you are not ready.
Website resolving, mail sending and receiving, certificate valid, no mixed content warnings. Then the renewal dates go somewhere you will actually see them.
Support is here when something changes, and you can ask a question before you buy anything at all.
Most people who arrive here already have something running somewhere, so moving is the real question. It is routine work, but it is not a single button, and the order matters more than the speed.
The guide to domain names covers the transfer mechanics in full, including what an authorisation code is.
These are the recurring ones. Every item here has cost somebody real money.
Yes. AldoMedia, LLC runs both. aldomedia.com is the web design side of the business and aldomedia.net is where domains, hosting, business email, certificates and website security are sold on their own. Same company, same office, same phone number.
No. Plenty of customers here have a site somebody else built, or a site they built themselves, or no site at all yet. You can register a domain or move hosting across without ever discussing a design project.
No. AldoMedia is an independent authorised reseller. The domain registry, the certificate authority and the hosting platform are all operated by upstream providers whose full-time job that is. What AldoMedia does is set the products up properly, support them, and stay accountable for your account.
You unlock the domain, we give you the authorisation code, and you start the transfer at the new registrar. There is no retention call and no obstacle course. A registrar that makes leaving difficult is telling you something, and we would rather not be that registrar.
Not from Buffalo. This is a working web company, not a 24-hour help desk. Urgent problems get attention quickly during business hours, and the platforms behind the products run their own support behind us. If a guaranteed enterprise support desk is what you need, buy from a provider that sells one.

If you are not sure whether you need a transfer, a new registration or nothing at all, describe the situation and we will tell you straight. Or start with the name, which is the piece worth securing first.
